NOTE: You can use this course without joining Flight Sim Economy, but why would you?
1a. About FSE: FSEconomy (https://www.fseconomy.net/) is an environment where flight simulation enthusiasts can add a new aspect to their flying. Since 2005, FSEconomy has allowed over 10,000 registered simulator pilots to earn in-game virtual money by flying their virtual aircraft to and from nearly every airport on Earth.
With those virtual earnings, pilots can purchase their own airplanes, join or start virtual businesses with other members, operate FBOs, and more – all within the free world of FSEconomy.
FSEconomy adds a new dimension to your flight simulation experience, and that doesn’t even count all the people you will meet along the way.
1b. Sequoia Flight School FSE Group: Sequoia Flight School has an FSE flight group that sim pilots can join (https://sequoiaflightschool.com/SFSGroup) which allows students to use Sequoia Flight School aircraft and facilities in FSE.
1c. FSE Videos: The lessons include links to currently available FSE videos and we’ll be making our own custom videos shortly.
1d. Flying for the Sequoia Flight School Group:
- Once you join the FSE Group you can use any flight school aircraft to fly any jobs available from any airport
- Sequoia Flight School aircraft must be left at a Sequoia Flight School FBO after your flights
- Sequoia Group pilots make a straight 40% of any jobs you fly on FSE
- the Sequoia Group pays all expenses and fuel
- Students must log a certain amount of time in certain aircraft to complete the course
- Students are free to fly passenger and cargo jobs from any airport using Sequoia Group aircraft
Section 2: Flight Sim Economy
Section 2 has an a la carte list of FSE videos to help you dial in your sim flying.
Section 3: Ground School
In Ground School you’ll learn about planes, airports, weather, instruments and procedures and how it all works together.
Section 4: Basic Flight Training Cessna 172
In Section 4 you’ll meet the Cessna 172 and learn all about it. By the end of this section you’ll have been trained to make a flight in a Cessna 172 starting from a cold and dark aircraft and finishing with your paperwork.
Section 5: Basic Flight Training Cessna 182
In Section 5 you’ll meet the Cessna 182 and learn all about it. By the end of this section you’ll have been trained to make a flight in a Cessna 182 starting from a cold and dark aircraft and finishing with your paperwork.
Section 6: Cessna 208
The Cessna 208 is the workhorse of the Cessna fleet. In the FSE world you can jump straight to flying 13 passengers and hauling much more cargo. Watch the videos and log the training flights.
Section 7: Checkride
Section 7 includes checkride videos, a final exam and you’ll need to log your checkride flight(s).
