The Flight Sim Economy 20-20 Hindsight Contest continues through the end of February so you still have time to win a piece of FSE history.
In honor of FSE’s 20 year anniversary the Bank of FSE bought back from players the original 20 aircraft flown when FSE first launched in March, 2005.
FSE pilots now have an opportunity to win one of these historic airplanes by flying it on its original flight made 20 years ago. To participate in the contest simply fly one of the original planes on its original route and you’ll be entered into a drawing for that plane. Players get one entry for each plane and you can only win 1 plane, but you can enter the drawing for all of them.
Everyone in the drawing will also be entered into the Grand Prize drawing for a brand new FBO at a new airport in FSE.
The contest rules are simple
- Find any of the original 20 aircraft listed below
- Fly it to the airport of destination
- Return it back to the origin for the next person.*
Please remember to return the aircraft to its original destination so the next person can fly it. If you find one of these planes at the destination and return it to its origin you will also be entered into the drawing.
If you have a malfunction in the aircraft then please make a note on the official forum asap and FSE moderators will fix it and get it back into the contest.
X-Plane pilots have custom 20-20 Hindsight liveries thanks to keirametz. If you’d like to download and fly these liveries PM keirametz on the FSE forums.
To load the flights first you have to clear your My Flight screen and cancel any aircraft and jobs. You can find a list of the 20 airplanes at www.fsenews.com/2020rules
- From a clear My Flight screen click AIRPORTS and scroll down to the search box
- Find the tail # of the plane you want to fly on the 20-20 Hindsight aircraft list at www.fsenews.com/2020rules
- Enter the tail # in the search box and you’ll find the airplane, hopefully at its destination of origin and you’ll see a passenger job waiting.
You can not rent the plane. In order to fly the job you select the passenger job and add it to My Flight
When you return to My Flight you’ll see the job loaded and the aircraft ready to be fueled and flown
The return flight back to the original destination loads at the bottom of the hour. If you land at your destination at 1545 zulu, for instance, you’ll have to wait until 1630 zulu to take off again, that’s just how the jobs load.
Please remember to take your aircraft back to the original location for the next pilot.
The FSE 20-20 Hindsight contest runs through February 28th and prize drawings will be held on March 1st, FSE’s official 20th birthday!
